SPIRIT 2010 Golden Jubilee Celebration of MANIT Alumni
Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology (MANIT), known previously as the Maulana Azad College of Technology (MACT), is celebrating its Golden Jubilee this year. The Institute, established in 1960, has been named after the veteran freedom fighter and educationist Maulana Azad and was one of the few Regional Engineering Colleges set up after independence to provide quality Science and Technology manpower to build modern India. In the fifty years that followed, it has emerged as one of the premier institutions in the country, has been rechristened as a National Institute of Technology, and has made exemplary contributions in the areas of Science and Technology, Politics and Public Administration, Public and Private Enterprises, Education, Arts and Culture. MANIT ALUMNI have made significant contributions not only in India but all over the world.
